happy New Year

Dear TJB,
I can't believe that this is my second New Year's Day without you.  I'm trying to do things that would make you proud.  I'm using this blog to tell you about my day as if you were still here with me.  I miss you!!!!

Today, I cooked black-eyed peas like I've done every New Year's Day forever.  They were really good, as always.  The children were here and we had a good day watching football.  I know you would have been pacing the floor during the USC game.  It was a real nail-biter.

I'm starting the new year with a new job.  I'm a Weight Watchers Leader now.  That means I have to make sure I stay within my goal range.  I'm also going to try to start exercising more.   I know you would like that.  I'm trying some new recipes too.  Remember when I made that chicken wing recipe and the dog wouldn't even eat it?  Remember when I made the one dish casserole and the children both looked at it and started crying?  I hope my new recipes turn out better!

I'll try to post a picture everyday that shows something I did.  No promises though.  I think this will inspire me to take more pictures.  I want to get better with my photography this year.

I also plan to sew more and make something new each week.

Most of all, I plan to focus on God's love and try to show love to all I meet.

Until next time. :-)
